Financial Assistance can pay for correspondence courses as long
as you are enrolled in at least one regular classroom course. In order to
have correspondence courses count as part of your semester course work, you
must complete the correspondence course within a regular semester. For example:
if you enroll in a correspondence course during the fall semester, you would
need to finish the course work by the end of the fall semester to receive
a grade (other than I) just like regular classes.
You must complete 50% of your lesson plans to receive a Federal
Pell Grant. You should contact the Division of Student Financial Assistance
once you have turned in the lesson plans to the Division of Extended Programs.
For more information, please contact the Division of Student
Financial Assistance. You must complete a correspondence agreement by the
last day of drop/add for that term if you wish to receive financial assistance.
Please keep in mind, College Access Program (CAP) grants will not pay for
correspondence classes.
